Transition to Secondary School Officer (TSSO)
Choice Adviser for Norfolk

The TSSO offers help and support to specific groups of parents and carers of children who are due to move up to high school. These groups are:-

Children
  1. parents who have children with Special Educational Needs
  2. parents of children in care/carers of Looked After Children
  3. parents who have English as an additional language
  4. frequent movers, i.e. Travellers and M.O.D. personnel
  5. parents who live in areas of deprivation and who self-refer
  6. parents who find it difficult to engage with their child’s current primary school
  7. parents who experience problems with their own reading and writing
  8. new arrivals to the county
  9. parents who belong to other vulnerable and minority groups

I support these parents/carers by:

listening to parents/carers and give free, confidential and impartial advice

providing help and advice when filling in application or appeal forms
