Exclusions from School

A Brief Guide for Parents

Your child should not be excluded for   Back to First Page   Permanent exclusion
Depending on what has happened, the headteacher can exclude your child either for a Fixed term or Permanently.

Fixed term exclusion

 

This means that your child is excluded for a certain number of days. Your child cannot be excluded for more than 45 days in a school year.

Unless the exclusion is for one day only, work must be set and marked by school. From day 6 onwards, work given must be suitable and full time.
