What is Early Years Action?
| It may be that your child
needs further help for him or her to make progress.
Early Years Action is when the SENCO collects more information about your
child. This may include additional information from you and other people working with your child. The SENCO should write down what you have agreed about your child's special educational needs. This is called an Individual Education Plan (IEP). |
| IEPs usually include:
Up to 3 or 4
targets in areas where your child needs extra help. |
Suggestions
for early years staff about activities and ways of playing and working with your child. |
People or
equipment needed to help with this. |
A date to meet to review progress and plan again. |
Things you can do with your child to support them. |
| Children who have made
considerable progress may no longer need support at Early Years
Action. |
