What is Early Years Action Plus?   Back to First Page   What will happen when my child moves on to primary school?

What if there is still concern about my child's progress?

Mother & Child

A very small number of children will not make adequate progress with the help given at Early Years Action Plus. The SENCO will then discuss with parents and others already involved whether a statutory assessment of special educational needs is required. (Click here to see the Statutory Assessment booklet)

Parents, pre-school and schools can make a request to the Local Education Authority (LEA) for a Statutory Assessment.
