If your child does not make progress with the help given at Early Years Action Plus, the SENCO should then discuss this with you and any other professionals already involved whether a statutory assessment of special educational needs is required. Parents, early years settings and schools can make a request to the Local Authority (LA) for a Statutory Assessment to be considered.
