How can an Independent Parental Supporter help parents?

 Encourage parents to be fully involved as partners in their child's education.

 Listen to parents' concerns and help and encourage them to express their views.

 Help parents to access relevant and up to date information.

 Explain procedures and choices to parents.

 Go with parents to meetings.

Training courses are held in the spring and autumn each year, and run one day weekly for six and a half days.
