What if I cannot agree with my child's school or the LEA?
If you cannot reach an agreement with either your child's school or the Local Education Authority (LEA), you may wish to use a disagreement resolution service. This is also known as mediation.
What can mediators do?
Bullet Point
They can talk to parents, and the LEA and school staff, to find out what has been happening and what the problems are.
Bullet Point
They can arrange a meeting between the parties to enable them to put their views to each other. This meeting will happen away from home, the LEA's office or the child's school, in a convenient place.
