What if I have a concern about my childs progress?   Back to First Page   What can I do to prepare for the meeting?
What if I have to meet with teachers or other professionals? People Round Table
If you have not asked for the meeting, find out who has.
Ask them:

 What the meeting is for and if there is an agenda (items to be discussed)

 Who will be there

 If you have all the information you need before the meeting, for example, copies of any reports or papers

 Make sure it is at a time and place that is convenient for you and the other people who are attending
   

If the meeting is at school, you may like to have a copy of the special needs policy.

It is a good idea to take someone with you to the meeting. This may be a friend, relative or an Independent Parental Supporter (IPS). You should let the school know if you are going to do this.
