The Norfolk Parent Partnership service is currently being reviewed against the new examples of best practice for parent partnership services, published by the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF). You can download copies of this document "Parent Partnership Services - increasing parental confidence" at www.everychildmatters.gov.uk.
The Norfolk review is being carried out by Sue Norgrove who is an independent consultant. Sue has asked us to distribute the questionnaire that she has compiled with this edition of Partnership News.
Please take a few moments to complete it on line and then press submit.
It is also available to download as a pdf document to complete and return postage free.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC to be able to open the document once you have downloaded it. If you do not have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, click on the link to download and install the latest version of the Acrobat Reader from the Adobe website.
The results of this review will influence the way your parent partnership service in Norfolk looks in the future.
Would you like to support parents/carers who have children with special educational needs?
Our Independent Parental Supporters (IPSs) support parents with issues to do with their child's special educational needs. They help access information, fill out forms, explain procedures and support at meetings relating to education.
All you need is some time to spare during the day and an interest in special educational needs. The next training course starts in May and is being held at the Dereham Town Football Club.
