The SEN Strategy aims to improve specialist provision across Norfolk for children and young people. In recent months the SEN Strategy Team has been carrying out a range of feasibility studies. These include visits to all sites of possible future specialist resource bases and complex needs schools as well as analysis of future complex needs school places associated with anticipated housing growth, SEN incidence and opportunities for reducing out of county placements by providing a wider range of provision In County.
The results of the feasibility studies will be reported at Children's Services Review Panel meeting 16 July 2008 and Norfolk County Council Cabinet meeting 11 August 2008, to enable decisions on the future locations of specialist provision.
The reports to councillors will be available online approximately seven days prior to their meetings, to read these go to:
Information about councillor decisions on the SEN Strategy will also be available via your school in September 2008.
