Norfolk Portage Service
Children's Services

Portage offers a county wide home based educational service for children, 0-5 year olds, with additional needs.

A parent can request a portage service but your Health Visitor, GP or any other professional involved with you and your child can make a referral for you. Your child will then be assessed by a Senior Portage Home Visitor who will see whether your child has two or more development needs which Portage can help with.

You and your child will be allocated a Portage Home Visitor to visit you in your home one hour a week/fortnightly/monthly depending on your situation.
